COALITION
Our Mission
As San Diego LGBTQ+ advocates, we unite to safeguard our community from the harm of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs.
Our mission is to nurture resilience through the creation of supportive spaces, fostering an intentional community that employs harm reduction techniques and meets individuals where they are on their journey.
Our Impact
As the sole LGBTQ+ harm reduction group in San Diego, the Collective Coalition has left a lasting impact.
From memorable sober-friendly events to Narcan training and educational content on tobacco use, we strive to meet individuals where they are, breaking the stigma surrounding substance use.
Join us in shaping a safer and more inclusive community.

Collective Exclusive Podcast!
This podcast explores and focuses on the personal experiences of LGBTQIA+ people, their stories, the intersectionality, and more, through a lens encompassing and strategizing harm reduction.
This podcast breaks norms, shatters stereotypes, and paves the way to a safer, healthier future for everyone.
Sober Events
Why do we need sober events?
LGBTQ+ spaces in bars are sacred (Stonewall history), but so are sober spaces. Having options is expansive!
The Collective works to bring creative and fun events that do not center substances. Whether you are sober, sober curious, in recovery, or just want a day off from substances; we got you!
Naloxone Training and Outreach
We provide harm reduction supplies at events and trainings!
We have Naloxone (also known as Narcan), fentanyl test strips, safe drink covers, and more!
New Projects!
Sapphic Spaces:
A quarterly event series centering Sapphic and adjacent folks.

The Collective Coalition offers educational media content and presentations addressing substance-related use issues that impact the LGBTQ+ community.
Policy
We collaborate with local decision-makers to engage in meaningful discussions on tobacco policy issues that directly impact our communities.
Quit Support
We host peer-to-peer nicotine support workshops and provide educational materials to empower community members on their journey to quit smoking.
